My #1 goal for your event is helping people connect: connecting you with your guests; your guests with each other; and the whole audience with your vision.
Before
I connect with you to understand the event you’re putting on, and how you want people to feel. I curate a unique playlist to draw from for the event, and send it to you to enjoy any time later on. I bring and set up all the audio gear we need.
During
I make sure you’re feeling good, checking in on what you may need and making sure things feel connected. I get to know the guests and what they like to hear. I help out with any PA announcements you need and keeping the energy where you want it.
After
I check in on how everything went. I make sure you have your event playlist and anything else you might need to put a ribbon on your party. I break down and scoot when you need me to! …Maybe over to the afterparty, if that’s a thing.
Playlists, Mixes, etc.
Brock and Peg are bubbly, hilarious, and were so having so much fun planning other parts of their wedding they didn’t have much in terms of ideas for music. So when we got together to think about the playlist, we started with visuals and vibes. Who did they want to see dancing? How did they want to feel midway through the night? We talked about nostalgia vs modern bangers, and started playing songs while visualizing the night play out. We identified their excitement about whimsical, inclusive, light-hearted music that got all generations on the floor.
One of my favorite experiences. Tessa and Bo are family to me, and so they wanted me to be able to enjoy the dancefloor as well as work the decks. Our solution – a pre-recorded live set. We got together over drinks, talked about music, and made a long playlist. Then we all took a deep breath and I started mixing tracks together. The result was a diverse and high-energy mix that was somehow just as fun to hear as an audience member at the event as it was to be present for.
Sydney and Jake were betting on a big dancefloor. They knew some old Bay Area classics would fire up their friends, but not that even the older generations would be losing it to Mac Dre. Talking through this event was a blast - we carved up the night into different parts, each represented by a different playlist with unique eras and styles of music. This one is the Part 2 of the dancefloor, the part where the floor was shaking.
